Phyllis Bastress

Phyllis Louise Bastress, 86, entered into rest on June 25, 2010.

Mrs. Bastress was born on January 12, 1924 in Sunbury, Pennsylvania. A resident of Middle Georgia since 1966, Phyllis retired from the Peach County Hospital where she was a Registered Nurse. Mrs. Bastress enjoyed spending quality time with her loving family members as well as needlepoint and caring for animals. She was of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Bastress was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Bastress.

Her memory will be forever treasured by her daughters, Leslie Warren, Warner Robins; Anne Ellis, Boynton Beach, FL; sisters, Suzanne Funke, Atlanta; Janet Geise, Northumberland, PA; Frances Smith, Lewisburg, PA; Marilyn Click, Searcy, AK; grandchildren, Shawn Miller, Todd Ellis, Karin Bankston; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 5, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in Magnolia Park Mausoleum. Memorials may be given to Southern Care Hospice, 3312 Northside Drive, Building D, Ste. 150, Macon, GA 31210.
