Phyllis Hunt Rohrbeck

Early on the morning of Wednesday, April 6, 2022, Phyllis Hunt Rohrbeck, 82, passed away at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon, Georgia.

Phyllis was born in Feds Creek, Kentucky, on August 28, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Cole Younger and Annis Stump Hunt. To say Phyllis was a gifted and dedicated teacher, counselor, and artist would be an understatement. She invested in the lives of many, and authored a book to share her faith.

A supportive Pastor’s wife, Phyllis loved the Lord, Jesus Christ, with all of her strength, with all of her mind, and with all of her soul. Whenever the opportunity to serve her God and people arose, she welcomed it with open arms. Phyllis loved her family and dogs unconditionally. She especially enjoyed spending time with them by the water.

In addition to her beloved husband of 23 years, John Rohrbeck; she is survived by her children, Deborah Gardner, John David Hall, MD, Regina McConnell (Rusty), and Tiffany Hahn (Kurt), Johnny Rohrbeck (Suzii); grandchildren, Graham (Alyse), Griffin (Madison), and Grayson Gardner; Mac and Jaret McConnell; Cooper Rohrbeck; Jade Burnette (Scott); Alex, Sonny, Adrian, and Jordan Bailey; and great-grandchildren, Vivian and Emmett Burnette; Denver Grace and Evan Ridge McConnell.

Visitation with Phyllis’ family will be Saturday, April 9, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The funeral service celebrating her life will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, she will be laid to rest at Parkway Memorial Gardens. For friends and family unable to attend, the service will be streamed live via the McCullough Funeral Home Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mcculloughfuneralhome/live/.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Phyllis Hunt Rohrbeck to the church or charity of your choice.
