Phyllis Tompkins Tedders

Phyllis Tompkins Tedders, 64, entered into rest on Monday, November 14, 2011.

Phyllis was born on September 22, 1947 in Sandersville, Georgia. She was a member of Milan Baptist Church, and she had a long career with the Department of Driver Services. After retirement, Phyllis became a caring homemaker, and really enjoyed quilting and gardening. Her parents, Albert Earl "Buster" Tompkins, and Alice Walker Tompkins Jones and R.C. Jones; sister, Alice Gwendolyn Tompkins; and granddaughter, Raven Tedders, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of forty-seven years, Willie Edward Tedders, Warner Robins; son, Guy (Sheri) Tedders, Warner Robins; grandchildren, Justin and Harley Tedders, and Jessica and James Russell Eberle; sister, Joan Marie (Ronnie) Brock, Sebastian, Florida; brother, Ronnie (Betty) Tompkins, Fitzgerald, Georgia; aunt, Macey Callaway, Warner Robins; sisters-in-law, Nan Tedders, Milan, Georgia, and Faye Tedders, Warner Robins; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Connie and Wendall "Winky" Lann, of Milan, Georgia.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow in Milan Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to Serenity Hospice, 1057 N. Houston Road, Warner Robins, GA 31093.
