Pok Sun “Sunny” Redmon inherited her eternal life on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. She was 82 years old.
Sunny was born in Inchon, Korea, during World War II. Her early life was difficult, but she was a survivor. She married an American soldier and gave birth to her only child, Michelle, in Heidelberg, West Germany, while they were stationed overseas.
Sunny was an extremely hard worker who often worked multiple jobs helping to provide for her family. She retired from the Houston County Board of Education School Nutrition Department at Westside Elementary School. She was filled with love, especially for her God and her family. She was a faithful member of Faith Assembly of God in Warner Robins (now Christ Chapel), where she helped her husband John, who was the director of the food pantry. She was also recently a member of First Assembly of God in Macon. Sunny had a green thumb. She loved plants and flowers, and her house and yard are beautifully decorated with them. She and John have a wonderfully manicured yard filled with fruit trees, vegetables and shrubs.
Sunny is survived by her loving husband, John Redmon; her daughter, Michelle Morris and her husband Jeff; and two grandchildren, Joshua and Kasey. Her family was her life, and it is impossible to describe how much she will be missed, until that day when we are all reunited in heaven.
A celebration of Sunny’s life will be held Friday, December 31, 2021 at McCullough Funeral Home, 417 S. Houston Lake Rd, Warner Robins, GA 31088. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the service following at 12:00 p.m. A private burial will be at Andersonville National Cemetery.
