Quitman J. Brigmond, Sr.

Quitman John Brigmond, Sr., 87, entered into rest on Thursday, August 10, 2023.

Quitman was born on April 18, 1936, in Douglas, Georgia. A devoted Christian, Quitman was a member of Harmony Community Church in Byron, Georgia. He spent 30 years in the Air National Guard alongside being an avionics supervisor at Robins Air Force Base from 1963 to 1994. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and cutting and caring for his lawn. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

His parents, Isaac and Estelle Brigmond, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of 66 years, Mary Whitley Brigmond; children, Donna Roberts (Johnny) of Byron, GA, Quitman Brigmond, Jr. (Linda) of Bonaire, GA, Henry Wade Brigmond (Shelley) of Panama City Beach, FL, and Ronald Brigmond of Warner Robins, GA; grandchildren, Jason, Chris, Adam, Maggie (Tyler), Andrew, Zachary, Meghan, Jennifer, and Jonathon; great-grandchild, Sam; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Brigmond, Martha Brigmond, and Margie Brigmond.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 13, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 14, 2023, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Quitman will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
