Rachel S. Busby

Rachel S. Busby, age 71, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2004. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 17, 2004, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 16, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.

Mrs. Busby was born on January 16, 1933, in Birmingham, Alabama the daughter of the late James Harrison Steele and Nellie Schrimscher Steele. After moving from Mobile, Alabama in 1965, she made her home in Warner Robins, Georgia where she worked in and retired from Data Management for the Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. She had also worked for Yesterday’s & Tomorrow’s Flowers & Gifts. Her husband, Herbert D. Busby, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her sons, Leslie Paul Dossett (Joyce), Phillipstown, MA; Larry Dale Dossett (Beth), Crawford County, GA; and Leonard Wayne Busby, Ledyard, CT; daughters, Sharon Louise Howell, Warner Robins, GA; and Karen Susan Parker (Pete), Milledgeville, GA; brother, Jim Steele, Mocksville, NC; sister, Elsie Christine Bergeron, Lacombe, LA; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
