Rachelle Lauren Davis

Rachelle Lauren Davis passed away at Emory Hospital in Atlanta on the morning of August 7, 2024. She was 33 years old. Born on July 16, 1991, in England, Rachelle was the beloved daughter of Sandra Ruth Owen Davis and the late Bobby S. Davis.

From an early age, she found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, often immersing herself in her favorite movie, The Lion King, and lovingly tending to her baby dolls. Rachelle was a social butterfly and enjoyed doing her makeup. Her eyes sparkled with warmth and excitement whenever someone entered the room. Rachelle’s presence will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. 

Rachelle was preceded in death by her father, Bobby S. Davis; and grandparents, Willard and Kitty Bell Dillard Owen, Donnie Frank Davis, and Evelyn Pressley, all of Canton, North Carolina. 

Rachelle is survived by her mother, Sandra Ruth Owen Davis of Warner Robins; sisters, Recia Davis of Warner Robins, and Arlinda Hanks (Alex); niece and nephew, Jason and Novella Hanks, all of Perry; grandmother, Doris Ann Davis of Canton, North Carolina; aunts and uncles, Dale Owen (Katrina) of Waynesville, North Carolina, Gary Pressley (Freida) of Canton, North Carolina, Melinda Davis Schnelle of Hendersonville, North Carolina; special sisters, Debra Chambers and Tracy Hefner, of Canton, North Carolina; cousins, Ben, Mary Katherine, Ethan, and Zach of Waynesville, North Carolina, and Leah Joanne Jameson of Sylva, North Carolina.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a memorial service immediately taking place at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Rachelle Lauren Davis will be laid to rest privately.
