On the morning of Friday, October 18, 2024, Radford Leon Hudson,77, met his Lord and Savior.
Leon was born on July 31, 1947, in Macon, Georgia to the late Arthur and Lillian (Johnson) Hudson. He took pride in his involvement with the Heard and Willingham School reunions bringing past classmates and friends together to celebrate shared memories. Leon was an active member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church and later The Well at Centerville where he served as President of the Men at the Well and was a member of the Seekers Sunday School class. Known fondly as the Grill master in both churches, he enjoyed preparing meals for his church families. Leon was a fanatical supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs, his loyalty unwavering. He found joy in spending time with his family as a husband, father, grandfather and friend. Leon leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to echo in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. As we honor his memory always remember that LOVE WINS. Leon was preceded in death by his son, Deleon Wiley Hudson and siblings, James Hudson and Linda McCall.
His memory will forever be treasured by his adoring wife of eighteen years, Nancy Hudson; children, Timothy Leon Hudson (Rebecca), Teasha Janiece Jones (Mike), Michelle Barfield and William Chandler Bearden; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild, and siblings, Miriam Griffin, Hubert Hudson and Wayne Hudson.
Visitation with Leon’s family will be Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.
