Ralph Edward Wenrick

Early on the morning of Sunday, July 18, 2021, Ralph Edward Wenrick, 98, joined his Lord and Savior in heaven.

Ralph was born on April 12, 1923, in Ashland, Ohio, to the late Cloyd and Goldie Swoop Wenrick. As a young adult, he joined the United States Army and courageously served during WWII. Following his time in the service, he worked for the State of Ohio, in the fish and game department. In 1958, Ralph made Warner Robins his permanent residence. He worked on Robins Air Force Base for a number of years before retiring. At the time of his retirement, he had collectively served his country for nearly 60 years.

In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Ambrose Wenrick.

His daughter, Lynn Johnson (David) of Warner Robins; grandchildren, David Johnson and Elizabeth “Beth” Garretson (Charlie); great-grandchildren, Ashford and Lanier Garretson; sister, Janet Zimmerman (Glen) of Ohio; sister-in-law, Elaine Ambrose of Ohio; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews are left to cherish Ralph’s memory.
Visitation with Ralph’s family will be Tuesday, July 20, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church with Pastor Andrew Howe officiating. A private committal service will be held at Andersonville National Cemetery with Military Honors. For friends and family unable to attend, the service will be streamed live via the McCullough Funeral Home Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mcculloughfuneralhome/live/.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Ralph Edward Wenrick to Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 336 Carl Vinson Parkway, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
