Ramey Wade Channell

Ramey Wade Channell, 35, of Kathleen died unexpectedly on April 19, 2023, after a brief illness. Ramey’s loss was completely unexpected, and the family is shocked and deeply saddened.

Ramey was born on September 27, 1987, in Macon, Georgia to Dale and Shannon Channell. Ramey graduated from Houston County High and Macon State University with a Bachelor of Information Technology. Ramey was currently working as a Senior Intelligent Automation Consultant at Virtual Operations. Prior to this position, he worked as an Information Technology Specialist at Robins Air Force Base, where he won Best Operational Impact RPA solution in the Rise of the Digital Wingman competition by the US Air Force and UiPath.

Anyone who knew Ramey, knew that he was a kind, loving, and caring person. He was a Master Mason and member of Houston Lodge #35 of Perry. He had an immense passion for woodworking and built many pieces of beautiful furniture. Ramey was an excellent cook; he mastered several cuisines and developed many of his own recipes. His favorite cooking technique was smoking southern style barbeque and creating several signature sauces as a result. Ramey also enjoyed spending time at his favorite place, Mexico Beach, Florida.

Ramey is survived by his parents, Dale and Shannon Channell; sister, Hannah Channell Wells (Matt); nephew, Nolan Wells and niece, Eva Jean Wells.

A visitation will be held Sunday, April 23, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Ramey will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
