On the afternoon of Thursday, May 30, 2024, Randall Almon Maxwell, 69, entered into the gates of heaven.
Randall was born on September 13, 1954, in Macon, Georgia to the late C.J. “Red” and Martha Jo Almon Maxwell. He grew up in Macon and was a graduate of Southwest high school. Randall worked as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service until his retirement after thirty years of dedicated service. He also served as president of the National Letter Carrier Union Service of Warner Robins for many years. Following his retirement, Randall lived in Elijay prior to moving back to Warner Robins. He enjoyed being a member of the corvette club, working with his model trains and landscaping which he was able to turn into a small business. Randall was known as a handy man and could handle any repairs which assisted him in flipping houses and servicing his rental homes. Growing up Randall was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church and was most recently attended Andrews United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Mike Maxwell and Joey Maxwell.
His memory will forever be treasured by his children, James Keaton Maxwell of Atlanta and Brannon Hufstetler (Rebecca) of Fort Myers, Florida; granddaughter, Harleigh Hufstetler; sister, Marsha Davidson (Dean); nieces and nephews, Jodi Short, Christopher Davidson, Sydney Davidson, Carson Short and Cooper Short; and sister in laws, Toni Maxwell and Deanna Maxwell.
Visitation with Randall’s family will be Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home with a memorial service celebrating his life following at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Randall Maxwell to the Shepherd Center, 2020 Peachtree Road NW, Atlanta, Georgia 30309-146.
