Randi Me'Chelle Ross

October 23, 1986 — September 19, 2023

Our beloved Randi went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in Heaven on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, Randi was 36 years old.

Randi Me’chelle Thompson was born on October 23, 1986, at Bergstrom Air Force Base, Austin, Texas to Pamela Jean Washington-Thompson and Randy John Thompson. Her father preceded her in death.

Randi grew up a military brat, she adored her mother and dad. Randi shared a very special bond with her dad (Richard Williams) taking the “daddy’s girl title” to a whole new level. She adored both her parents and they were a constant staple in her life, closer than close.

Randi was a graduate of Fort Walton Beach High School in Fort Walton Beach, Florida in 2004 and was known to all her friends, family and teachers as outgoing, bubbly, energetic, very organized, took care of her educational obligations and was very athletic. One of her favorite activities was track and field. She was very driven and accomplished everything she put her mind and hands too, and whatever she did, she was all in! After high school she enrolled in Northwest Florida State College (prev. known as Okaloosa-Walton Community College) for a year and a half. She enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 2005 and continued her education receiving her associate degree in human resources and personnel management from Community College of the Air Force and attended Kaplan University obtaining her B.S. Degree in Business Administration. She served a total of 18 years. During her tenure with the U.S. Air Force, she accomplished so much in such a short time. Within these years of her enlistment, she’s been described as Exceptional Performer, Mission-focused, Trendsetter, Outstanding Leader, Trailblazer, Diamond Sharp, Model NCO and Frontrunner and Solid Performer and received numerous awards such as Airmen, NCO, SNCO and Civilian of the Year.

Randi later met and fell in love with Christopher Ross and the two become one on June 13, 2015. Randi and Chris were blessed with a son, Sidney Jo’el Ross. Chris and Sidney were the joy that kept Randi going, the three shared a special bond. Love and laughter were a constant attribute in their home and all those who knew them became a witness to their infectious love for one another. Randi loved Chris and Sidney with every fiber of her being. She enjoyed and made moments special from just being at home to amusement parks, special vacation destinations, and family holiday celebrations it was always love and lots of laughter! And if you really knew her you know she loved her New Orleans Saints “Laissez les bons temps rouler!!!” Geaux SAINTS!!! Randi was known by many nicknames Randi Pandi, Randi-sha, Rozay, Boss Ross and from her beloved Keiara “Kiki” affectionately called her Suga Mama (Yeap from the Proud Family).

Randi loved her siblings Shannon, Taryn and Demetrius; they weren’t just siblings they were best friends. Her siblings looked up to her and admired the big sister she was. They laughed together, cried together, partied together and fought just as hard as they loved one another. Growing up in the house with their big sister it was never a dull moment. Randi looked out for her siblings, she was large and in charge and was going to always protect them. She recently reunited with her older sister Erica and the two were building a sisterly bond and loved one another.

It’s incredibly difficult to sum up the impact and influence Randi had on all those who loved and admired her, especially in the roles of a daughter, granddaughter, wife, mother, aunt, niece, cousin, co-worker, and friend. She will truly be missed by all.
