Randy Kevin Taylor, 61, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 4, 2021, due to complications from diabetes.
Randy was born on July 16, 1960 in Warner Robins, Georgia and passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021. He loved God, his family, his people with fur (pets), and his country. He was a successful hardworking man who owned several car lots and title pawns all over Warner Robins for the past 40 years. Growing up, Randy had a passion for sports which continued throughout his life. He was competitive and loved to win, but seeing others win brought him greater joy. Randy’s compassion and love of people spilled over into his adulthood. He always wanted to see others do better!
Randy was known for his generous heart and love of God. He was always concerned about the welfare of others and would literally give you the shirt of off his back. He always talked about Jesus, his Lord and Savior, in good times and bad. “Count it all joy!” he would say (James 1:2). He always spoke on God’s love “And we have known and believed the love that God hath for us. God is love, and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him” (1 John 4:16). Randy loved to group with other pastors and do tent revivals. He once did a one-hundred-day tent revival in 1999. He also hosted a 12 step Biblical program for addictions called “Overcomers—Hurts, Habits, and Hangups.”
Randy was not the perfect man, and never claimed to be. He got off track several times with addictions over the years. What he would like to say to you is if you know someone who is struggling with addiction, please help them and love them. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs (1 Corinthians 13:4-8). Jesus says that He will never leave nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Be the light of Jesus for somebody today.
Randy was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Pierce Taylor, Sr.; and his brother, Billy Gene Whitley.
Randy is survived by his wife of 26 years, Veronica June “Junie” Taylor; his children, Brooke Ariana Pabon (Nector) of Melbourne, Florida, Benjamin Marlon Pierce Taylor, and Brantley Wayne Miguel Taylor; his dog, Roxy, and his cat, Annie. He is also survived by his mother, Carolyn Jeanette Roberts (Jack); his stepmother, Connie Taylor; brothers and sisters, Bobby Taylor (Karen), Tim Taylor (Pat), Teresa Carr (Roy), Mary Jo Kasnowski (Charlie), Danny Whitley, Jackie Garrett (Robert), Norma Roberts, Mike Roberts (Bonnie), Titus Roberts, and Susan Bowes; and many nieces and nephews, and friends.
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7-8).
