Mr. Powers was born on November 4, 1961 in Madison, Georgia. He was a member of Second Baptist Church. Ray was a foreman with Powers Construction Company.

Survivors include his wife, Carla Powers, parents, Dora Josephine Arthur, Ray Foster Powers, Sr. (Charlene), children, Amber Mauldin (Raymond), Ray Powers, III, all of Warner Robins; siblings, Betty Mendoza (Mike), Ft. Valley; Dora Browning (Mark), Yatesville; Amy Colbert, Byron; Richard Powers, MS; Matthew Powers, Byron; Jason Powers, Byron; grandchild, Jacob Dilker, one on the way, Jaxon Mauldin and five nephews and three nieces.
