Ray L. Mason

Ray L. Mason, 78, passed away on January 6, 2006 in Dade City, Florida. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2006 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with entombment following in the Magnolia Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at McCullough Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Houston County or to The American Heart Association.

Mr. Mason was born on May 28, 1927 in Lima, Ohio. He retired from Robins Air Force Base after thirty nine years of service. A veteran of the United States Army, Mr. Mason was a member of NARFE, AARP, and a former member of the Moose Lodge in Warner Robins. His first wife of fifty one years, Wanda Mason and parents, George and Ruth Mason, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Silvija Mason, Zephyrhills, Florida; daughters, Lois Underwood (Wil), Perry; Susan Lower (Lon), Perry; sons, Kenneth Mason; Daniel Mason, Byron; Richard Mason (Suzanne), Byron; sister, Betty Hadding (Jim), Seymour, Indiana; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
