Becky Ivey, 58, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at Hilton Head Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 25, 2004 in the chapel of Robins Air Force Base with interment following in Andersonville National Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, October 24 from 7 until 9 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 248 Tom Hill Sr. Blvd., PMB 437, Macon, GA 31210-1815.
Mrs. Ivey was born in Fort Dodge, IA. She graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing, Trenton, NJ, and began her 38-year career as an RN in Pediatrics. She later specialized in Neonatal Intensive Care and has worked in that specialty for the last 20 years. Since 1993, she has worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. She was a member of Our Lady of the Skies Catholic Church. Her father, Col. William M. McDonald, USAF (Ret.) and daughter, Jennifer Leigh Ivey, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Lt. Col. Patrick L. Ivey, USAF (Ret.,) Warner Robins; mother, Evelyn M. McDonald, Warner Robins; sisters, Sue Lowry, Columbus, MS, Patricia Power, Roswell, GA, Donna Perkins, Plattsburg, NY, Dorothy Troyer, Chickamauga, GA, Jackie Ogden, Dacula, GA, and Mary McDonald, Warner Robins; brothers, Michael McDonald, Warner Robins, James McDonald, Dalton, GA, and Major Robert McDonald, Tyndall AFB, Pensacola, FL.
