Rebecca Sexton, 59, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017.
Rebecca was born on December 8, 1957 in San Bernardino, California. She spent most of her life in the medical field working in records and admissions for hospitals and doctor’s offices. Rebecca was very active in her faith. She was a member of the Beth Yeshua International Synagogue where she served in the prison ministry.
Her mother, Helen Hayden Godfrey and sister, Lori Godfrey, preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband, David Sexton of Byron; son, Aaron Shatney (Melissa) of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Ilana and Alesia Shatney; stepson, David F. Gorman (Brenda) of Haughton, Louisiana, Robert A. Sexton and Randy K. Sexton (Kim) both of Beeville, Texas; 6 step-grandchildren; 1 step great-grandson; father, Clarence Godfrey, and sibling, Missy Brannon of Richmond, Texas and Cindy Joynt of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Parkway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum where Rebecca will be laid to rest. A memorial gathering will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Beth Yeshua International Synagogue.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Rebecca Godfrey Sexton to the Neve Michael Children’s Village care of Beth Yeshua International Synagogue, 5970 Price Road, Macon, GA 31220.
