Reed Oran Painter, II, 50, entered into rest on Monday, April 25, 2011 after a long and courageous battle following a liver transplant.
Reed was born on May 4, 1960 in Mount Holly, New Jersey. Reed loved spending time with his sons and enjoyed being the only brother to his five sisters. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast; he was always happiest when surrounded by his motorcycle friends, discussing their rides, and waiting for the day he could join them on motorcycle excursions.
His memory will forever be treasured by his parents, Reed Oran Painter, Sr. and Cynthia Kay Perry Painter, Fort Valley; his loving sons, Reed Painter, III, and Garrett Painter, Fort Valley; sisters, Lori Gentry (Gus), Fort Valley; Rebecca Painter, Perry; Sandra Gentry (Daryl), Warner Robins; Catherine Painter, Fort Valley; and Cheryl Painter, Milledgeville.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Woodlawn Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be given to Georgia Transplant Foundation, 6600 Peachtree Dunwoody Road, Atlanta, Georgia 30328.
