Late on the evening of Tuesday, December 19, 2017, Reggie Lee Hester, 38, entered the gates of Heaven.
Mr. Hester was born on April 14, 1979 in Macon, Georgia. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and worked as a computer specialist in the Office of Institutional Research at his alma mater. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Mr. Hester was also a handyman who could fix anything. He lived his life to the fullest, always seeking the next great adventure. A loyal son who dearly loved his family, Mr. Hester also adored his beloved dog, and he will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to be part of his life. He was preceded in death by his father, John Lee Hester.
His memory will forever be treasured by his mother, Trudy Hester of Bonaire; his forever love, Allyson Hester of Athens; his aunts, Polly Whitehead (Gene) of Macon and Jane Hester Bowles (Kelvin) of Moneta, Virginia; his uncle, Jeff Wilson (Jennifer) of Snellville; and many other extended family and friends.
The graveside service celebrating Mr. Hester’s life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Perry Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Phil Bryant officiating.
Of all the words of tongue and pen, the saddest are, “It might have been.”
