Rev. Charles L. Clark, 68, passed away Monday, February 23, 2004 at a local hospital. Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 27 at Turner’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Butler. Interment will follow at 4:00 PM in Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Dooly County. Visitation will be Thursday, February 26 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at McCullough Funeral Home.
Rev. Clark was born in 1935 in Dooly County, GA to the late John Lewis and Estelle Clark. He was retired after 39 years of civil service at Robins Air Force Base having worked in various technical capacities. Rev. Clark pastored several churches since the age of 16 and served the past 24 years as Pastor of Turner’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Butler.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Clark, Warner Robins; three daughters, Debbie Mueller (Kenny), Houston, TX; Lorie Pettus (Chuck), Byron, GA; and Heather Beck (SSgt. Cody), Burkburnett, TX; two sons, Rusty Clark (Carol), Houston, TX; and SSgt. Lyn Clark (Peggy), Spangdahlem AFB, Germany; brother, Robert F. Clark, Cordele, GA; sisters, Vera Moore, Reynolds, GA; and Brenda Garner, Wilkesboro, NC; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren
