Reverend Max Arnold Patterson, 75, passed into the hands of his Lord on Wednesday, March 5, 2014.
Rev. Patterson was born on January 1, 1939 in Douglasville, Georgia and was of the Baptist faith. He was a much-loved minister and served several churches for many years in Georgia, Mississippi and Louisiana. Rev. Patterson was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin P. Morren and parents, James Arnold and Jewel Renfroe Patterson.
His memory will forever be treasured by his devoted wife of fifty-five years, Alma Patterson of Hampton, Georgia; sons, Michael Patterson (Phyllis) of Hampton, Georgia, Matthew Patterson (Tracie) and Mark Patterson, both of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; grandchildren, Amanda Klein (Josh), Jessica McMure (Alex), Adam and Andrew Morren, Katy Payton, and Jacob, Miri and Emi Patterson; great-grandson, Max Klein; sisters, Joyce Godfrey of Lithia Springs, Georgia and Linda Jones (Sam) of Newnan, Georgia; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2014 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until service time. The family will accept flowers or donations may be given to Liberty Hill Baptist Church Building Fund, 2957 Mt. Carmel Road, Hampton, GA 30228.
