Richard Francis Paradis, Sr.

September 20, 1949 — October 8, 2021

Richard Francis Paradis, Sr. was reunited with his beloved wife in Heaven in the early morning hours of Friday, October 8, 2021. He was 72 years old.

Born on September 20, 1949 in St. John’s Ferry, Vermont, Richard was the son of the late Ronald and Edith Paradis. Richard served his country for 20 years in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of both the Vietnam War and Desert Storm. Richard was a devoted husband to the late Som Nola Paradis. The couple married on May 23, 1974 and moved to Warner Robins in 1989 where he was an aircraft mechanic at Robins Air Force Base for 10 years before his retirement. A talented woodworker, Richard also enjoyed hunting and spending time with his dogs. He was a member of New Elam Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents and wife, Richard was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Paradis.

Left to treasure the memory of Richard are his sons, Richard F. Paradis, Jr. (Becky) of Southaven, Mississippi and Charles Raymond Paradis of Warner Robins; daughter, Mayulee Bofto of Bonaire; brothers, William H. Paradis and John “Wes” Paradis; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 11, 2021 at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Magnolia Park Cemetery.
