On the evening of Saturday, April 17, 2021, Richard H. Wilson, entered into rest at the age of 74. He was born in Morenci, Michigan, on November 22, 1946, the son of the late Henry and Helen Wilson.
A retired U.S. Air Force Veteran and self-made business owner of Sunlight Supply Company, Richard was delighted to supply countless patrons in the National/International community with reliable industrial equipment. He possessed a true servant’s heart and was always ready to help anyone; this rang true in his business and in his personal life. For several years, Richard loved volunteering as a driver for Meals on Wheels and enjoyed umpiring Little League Baseball. He loved fishing, following the Atlanta Braves and dancing when he had the chance. Richard will be remembered by all who knew him as a simple man whose family was his everything, though his grandchildren were at the center of his heart.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Shirley and Marvin.
Surviving are Richard’s loving wife of 53 years, Carol Madej Wilson; children, Kristina Flake and Eric Wilson; grandchildren, Amanda Danielle Willis, Corey Dylan Flake, Joshua Seth Flake, Kimberly Brooke Davis and Brantley George Davis; and brothers, Alan and Rodney Wilson.
Richard will be laid to rest with a private graveside service for his family at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Reverend Kirk Hagan will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Richard to the Adult Congenital Heart Association, 280 N. Providence Rd., Ste. 6, Media, PA 19063, https://www.achaheart.org/get-involved/donate-fundraise/give-to-acha/.
