Richard Henry White

Richard Henry White, 79, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 19, 2013.

Richard was born on February 9, 1934 in Fayetteville, Georgia to the late Everett Herman White and Thelma Presley White. With pride and courage, Richard served his country in the United States Army. Serving during the Korean conflict, he received a Korean Service Medal with One Bronze Service Star, National Defense Service Medal, and other distinguished medals and recognitions. He dedicated thirty-five years of employment to the Atlanta Journal & Constitution where he worked as a Truck Driver. Richard was a long-time resident of Middle Georgia and enjoyed fishing and gardening. In addition to his parents, his beloved wife, Etta Joyce Teal White, and one grandson, Robert White, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving children, Ricky White and his wife, Lavelle, Clinchfield; Vickie Reynolds, Warner Robins; Annette Osborn, Bonaire; Audry Hair, Eastman; sister, Dixie Hunt, Fairburn; Brother, Doug White, Tyrone; cousin, Dot Sasser, Conyers; grandchildren, April Mathis, Caleb Osborn, Shay Cook, Emily Osborn, Adam Beal; great grandchildren, Kristyn Buice, Brittany Hutto, Keeley Hutto, Rayne Cook, and Jayde Cook.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 21, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Perry Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to Heart of Georgia Inpatient Hospice, 1120 Morningside Drive, Perry, Georgia 31069.
