Richard James MacPherson, devoted brother and “Uncle Rich” to his much-loved nieces and nephews, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022. He was 60 years old.
Rich was born on October 12, 1961 in Lewiston, NY, to the late Mary and Richard MacPherson. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and as a member of the Georgia Air National Guard. Rich also worked for the Georgia Department of Defense at Robins Air Force Base for over 20 years.
Rich was a friend to everyone he ever met and especially loved making people laugh. If you needed help with anything, he was your man. Rich was a loyal Buffalo Bills fan to the end, an avid NASCAR fan and loved talking about and working on old cars.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Autumn Querini of Japan; sister, Lori Kalani of Warner Robins; niece, Jamie Masse of Perry; and two nephews, Dane Kalani (Aubrey) and Ricky Katani of Bonaire; several great-nieces and nephews; and a host of longtime friends.
Rich will be laid to rest with a graveside memorial service at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022, in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
For friends unable to attend at this time, the service will be streamed live via the McCullough Funeral Home Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mcculloughfuneralhome/live/.
In lieu of flowers, Rich’s family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to his favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
