Longtime Warner Robins resident, Rita Rauch Norris, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the age of 75. She is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband of 53 years, Jerry G. Norris, her parents, Johann and Maria Steber Rauch, her sister Hannelore Calvert, brother Hansel Rauch, her son-in-law, Bill Criswell, and other loved ones who had gone before.
Rita was born in Haunstetten, Germany on October 9, 1947 and was of the Baptist faith. She retired with a number of years of dedicated service from Bluebird Company in Fort Valley, GA, but was most importantly a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She loved running with her friends, traveling with her husband and spending time with her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Carmen Criswell of Yatesville, GA and Michael P. Norris (Tasha) of Cleveland, TN; grandchildren, Molly Henry (Max) of Marietta, GA, Kaylie Norris of Nashville, TN and Sailor Norris of Cleveland, TN; great-grandson, Zig Michael of Marietta, GA; brother, Anton (Tony) Rauch; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.
A graveside memorial service celebrating Rita’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 9, 2022, in Andersonville National Cemetery.
