Robbie Lee Doherty

The Lord gained a wonderful helper on Monday, October 11, 2021 when Robbie Lee Doherty, age 54, passed through the gates of Heaven.

A genuine and caring man, Robbie was the type of person who was always helping his family and his friends. He would do the yardwork and house work for his parents and his siblings without complaint. He took great pride in making sure his yard and his car were in tip-top shape. He was quite proud of the fact that he saved up for his own car and treated it as his baby. Robbie was never seen without a hat on his head. Aside from his mom, Robbie doted on his dog, KC. His faithful companion could be seen everywhere he went until she passed away leaving Robbie heartbroken. A junk food addict, he also liked a good practical joke.

More than anything, Robbie was a family man. He adored his nieces and nephews, buying them little gifts whenever he could. A sweet soul, everyone who knew Robbie knew that he loved his momma. The type of person who was very close to his family, he was also very private.

Born in Savannah, Georgia on December 17, 1966, Robbie was the son of Bobby W. and Carole Parker Doherty. In addition to his parents, Robbie is survived by his siblings, Mike Doherty (Stephanie) of Kathleen, Brian Doherty of Kathleen, and Donna Wall (John) of Hawksinville; nieces and nephews, Jessica Doherty, Shayna Jones (Kevin), Sarah Kate Wall, and Parker Wall; and great nieces, Brantley, Gracie, Kaybrien, and Jamie Lynn.

Robbie’s funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. There will be a viewing 15 minutes prior to the service. Robbie will be laid to rest at Perry Memorial Gardens.
