It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin, Roben Isaac Pritchett. He died on the evening of Sunday, November 13, 2022 at the age of 59.
A lifelong Middle Georgia resident, Roben was born in Macon on January 11, 1963 to the late George I. and Nancy Lewis Pritchett. He grew up in Warner Robins where he graduated with Northside High School’s Class of 1981 and served as an athletic trainer for the football team. After high school, he attended West Georgia College where he served as an athletic trainer for its football team, as well. From then on, Roben became a jack-of-all-trades as he pursued several different avenues in the working world. In addition to working for Boeing, he prided himself on being a sous-chef at Disney World’s Epcot Center, helped open many Italian restaurants in Warner Robins, and worked for PPG Glass Company, Marble Masters and Wood Masters Cabinets before becoming disabled in 2009. Roben worked at various jobs throughout his life but valued being dedicated to his family the most. He also enjoyed golfing and bass fishing in his free time. Roben was full of trivial knowledge and was a good salesman. He had a wonderful sense of humor and never failed to tell a good joke; you especially knew when he told a good one because he was usually the one who laughed the loudest! Roben’s hard work ethic, love for his family and infectious playfulness will always be remembered by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kevin L. Pritchett.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Leslie Francis (Ryan) of Macon; grandson, Carter Michael Francis; siblings, Beth Smith and David R. Pritchett, both of Douglas, GA, and Milan Johnson (Ken Glasgow) of Warner Robins; nieces, Amanda Coffee (Chris) and Saranan Mitchell (Nathan), both of Douglas, GA; and several adoring cousins.
A memorial gathering with Roben’s family and friends will take place from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at McCullough Funeral Home.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Roben to the American Diabetes Association – GA Affiliate, 233 Peachtree St., Harris Tower – Ste. 2225, Atlanta, GA 30303.
