On the afternoon of Saturday, August 26, 2017, Robert Goldberg passed away at his residence. He was 69 years old.
Robert was born on November 22, 1947 in New York City, New York to the late Herman and Valentine Bielik Goldberg. He was a retired security guard with Wells Fargo and a volunteer police officer while in New York. An avid lover of 50’s music, Robert enjoyed comedy and was a self-described “joker,” always making people laugh. He was of the Jewish faith.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 42 years, Margaret Louise Goldberg of Warner Robins; children, Tennille Goldberg of New York City, Daryl Goldberg (Tiffany) of Riverdale, Georgia, and Brian Goldberg (Brandy) of Warner Robins; sixteen grandchildren; and brothers, Warren Goldberg (Carmen) of Hollywood, Florida and Arthur Goldberg (Evelyn) of Tampa, Florida.
A Memorial Gathering will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30th at McCullough Funeral Home. At the family’s request, Robert’s burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to a fund benefiting Robert Goldberg. These gifts can be made payable to McCullough Funeral Home with ‘Robert Goldberg Memorial Fund’ written in the memo line.
McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with Mr. Goldberg’s arrangements.
