Robert Charles “Cornbread” Brewer, 46, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 14, 2006. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2006 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following at 2:00 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery, Lumber City, Georgia. Visitation will be Friday, February 17, 2006 from 7 until 9 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Confederate Thunder, c/o 139 Red Oak Road, Byron Georgia 31008.
Mr. Brewer was born on February 1, 1960 in Warner Robins, Georgia. He was raised in Bonaire and attended Houston County schools. He was employed at the Boeing Company as an aircraft assembly painter, where he enjoyed working with his teammates. Mr. Brewer was president of the Confederate Thunder Motorcycle Group and was proud to be a member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans. His father, Robert Hughey, preceded him in passing.
Survivors include his mother, Addis Brewer, Bonaire; children, Heather “HeatherB” Brewer, Bonaire; Melissa Sauls, Danville; Dixie Ann Cook (Ryan), Byron; sister, Diane Ison, Wisconsin; granddaughters, Chasity Louise Sauls and Katelynn Sauls; his best life companion, Lara “Grace” Scott, Byron; and “the girls” Annie Louise and Daisy Mae.
