Robert Eugene Smith

Robert Smith, 84, entered into rest on July 31, 2014.

Robert was born on August 27, 2014 in Butler, Pennsylvania. After twenty-four years of service to his country, including serving in the Vietnam War, he retired as Sergeant First Class. He enjoyed going to baseball games, traveling, and was an avid golfer.

His parents, Floyd and Grace Smith, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Pauline Smith of Warner Robins; daughters Roberta Wilson (Glenn) of Warner Robins, GA, Carmen McCarthy of Woodstock, GA, and Hannelore Nonnast (Klaus) of Germany; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to The Wounded Warrior Project at 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
