Robert Franklin Lumpkin died on January 20, 2021, at Navicent Health after an extended illness. He was born on February 14, 1972 in Warner Robins, GA, where he lived most of his 48 years before moving to Macon in 2017. He graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1990 and attended Middle Georgia College.
Robert was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where he grew up participating in the children’s and youth programs. He worked with Home Depot in Warner Robins and was currently employed with Lowe’s in Macon.
In earlier years, Robert enjoyed attending Drag Racing events and he was forever a staunch fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. He was preceded in death by his baby daughter, Harley Rebecca, in November 2014. Four years ago his most favorite activity ever became the role of Daddy when his little Princess, Ruby Kate was born. Robert was very family oriented and loved sharing his grilling talents with family and friends.
Survivors include: wife, Kristi Burns Lumpkin; daughter, Ruby Kate Lumpkin; parents, George and Lane Lumpkin; brother, Mark (Natalie) Lumpkin, Grapevine, TX.; in-laws, Greg and Becky Burns; sister-in-law, Haley (Mark) Strandburg, Perry, GA; niece and nephews, Lyla, Avery, Preston, and Evan.
Robert’s family will receive friends at Parkway Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest with a graveside service immediately following visitation. For the health and safety of everyone in attendance of the services, Robert’s family asks that each person wear a mask and practice social distancing.
