Robert Glenn Webster, Jr., 82, entered into rest on Thursday, August 26, 2010.

Mr. Webster was born on September 1, 1927 in Decatur, Illinois. A devout Christian man, he was a lifelong member of Quincy Seventh Day Adventist Church where he proudly served as Head Elder, Head Deacon, Superintendant of Sabbath School, Chairman of the Building Committee, and various other committees. He proudly served in the United States Army. During WWII, Robert was stationed at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C. where he was in charge of medical supply. A member of Adams County Farm Bureau, Robert owned and farmed his land in Illinois. He was an avid traveler and loved the outdoors and nature. He was the Owner and Manager of several residential properties. Robert, the cornerstone of his family, was a leader and provider; a legacy his family is proud to carry on. His parents, Robert Glenn Webster, Sr., and Elizabeth Sheiss Webster, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife of sixty years, Irene Louise Webster, Quincy, IL; children, Robert E. Webster and his wife Deborah, Ashland, IL; Sharon L. Taylor and her husband Marvin, Warner Robins, GA; grandchildren, Jennifer S. Webster, Joshua Webster, Benjamin Taylor, Nathaniel Taylor, Shaunda Taylor; great grandchildren, Sidney Webster, Mason Taylor, Logan Taylor, and so many other loving relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Wimbish Road Seventh Day Adventist Church, Wimbish Road, Macon, GA. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home in Quincy, Illinois with interment following in Green Mount Cemetery. Pastor Adrian Amarandei will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to the Robert Glenn Webster Memorial Fund in care of State Street Bank, Quincy, Illinois.
