Robert James Williams, 94, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 29, 2013.
Mr. Williams was born on September 19, 1918 in Erie, Pennsylvania to the late Henry Mason Williams and Gertrude King Williams. With pride and honor, Major Williams served his country in the United States Army. A highly decorated Veteran, he served during WWII and the Korean conflict. He was the recipient of two Silver Stars, Two Bronze Stars, and Two Purple Hearts. His parents and two siblings, Chester Williams and Evelyn Lilengberg, all preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife, Mary Magdalene Williams; children, Janet Lee, Judy Suhy, Jim Arnold, and Sandra Miller; seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
A Graveside Memorial Service with military honors will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 in Andersonville National Cemetery.
