Robert Jerry Griffin, Sr.

Robert Jerry Griffin, Sr., 60, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2007.

Mr. Griffin was born on November 1, 1946 in Perry, Georgia. He was a member of Eureka Springs Baptist Church in Lincoln, AL. Mr. Griffin was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam era. Jerry was Owner of VJ Enterprises where he sold Heavy Equipment machinery. Jerry loved the outdoors; he enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and truly enjoyed time spent with his family. He was an avid Auburn fan. His father, William H. Griffin, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his children, Rob Griffin, Jr. (Kerri), Jeff Griffin, grandchildren, Taylor Griffin, Gavin Griffin, all of Jacksonville, AL; mother, Juanita Roberts Griffin, Warner Robins; sister, Phyllis G. Martin, brother, Doug Griffin (Melanie), all of Warner Robins; nephews, Chad Griffin (Adrianne), Carrollton; Dusty Griffin and Casey Griffin, both of Warner Robins.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with entombment following in Magnolia Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Amyloidosis Research Foundation 4174 Meyers Avenue, Waterford, MI 48329.
