Robert Joyce Terhune

Robert Joyce Terhune, 83, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2007. The son of the late Henry Martin and Maggie (Talbot) Terhune, he was born on October 27, 1923, in Liberal, Barton County, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Jonnie Crozier Terhune, and five of his six siblings, two infant sisters, two infant brothers and the late Martin Terhune of La Puente, CA.

Mr. Terhune was a WWII veteran and retired employee of Pet Milk Dairies of Washington, GA. He lived in Lincolnton from 1946 to 1987 when he moved to Fort Valley where he and his late wife spent twenty years operating a part-time cattle farm with only son, Henry Lee Terhune, only grandchild, Courtney Terhune Turner, grandson-in-law Brenton Howard Turner, great-granddaughter Abigail Leigh Turner, and great-grandson Jacob Brenton Leon Turner. Youngest brother, Glenn Terhune, resides in Medford, OR.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2007, at St. Paul Methodist Church Cemetery in Lincolnton, Ga. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Loco Baptist Church, off Highway 220, Lincolnton, Ga 30817, or St. Paul United Methodist Church, Highway 43, Lincolnton, Ga, 30817.
