Robert K. Norton

Robert K. Norton, 85, died Tuesday, April 16 at Summerhill Home. Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 20 at Perry United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Strickland officiating. The family will greet friends after the service at 1004 Ridge Circle South in Perry.

Mr. Norton was born in Cleveland, OH. An engineer, he received his degree from Case Engineering College and also held certifications in Mechanical Engineering and Design from the Ford Trade School. He had been the Vice President of Mechanical Engineering for Harris. Mr. Norton was a member of the Perry Country Club, Kiwanis Club, and Perry Shriners. A 32nd Degree Mason, he was a Past Master Masonic, Lodge 213, Twinsburg, OH. He also served as a Deacon at Twinsburg Congregational Church. He was a member of Perry United Methodist Church. His wife, Ivadell Norton, and his parents, Robert K. and Mildred F. Norton, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his son, Robert Norton, Chapin, SC; daughter, Janet Collier, Hawkinsville; sister, Katharine Lawrence, Alpena, MI; brothers, John McDougall, Canton, MI; David McDougall, Atlanta; grandson, Robert Quesenberry, Warner Robins; granddaughters, Debbie Howell, Tampa, FL; Gale Hite, Charlottesville, VA; grandsons, Brian Robert Norton, Tucker Norton, and Chase Kirkwood Norton, all of Columbia, SC; great-granddaughters, Lauren Hite, Charlottesville, VA; Allison Quesenberry and Natalie Quesenberry, both of Warner Robins; great-grandsons, Robert Quesenberry, Warner Robins; Clayton Robert Norton, Columbia, SC; and his loving dog, Holly.
