Robert Manders, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016. He was 73 years old.
Robert was born on May 2, 1942 in Buford, Georgia to the late Golden Lee and Martha Louise Manders. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and later retired from 20 years of civil service at Robins Air Force Base. Mr. Manders was a devout member of Sandy Valley Baptist Church, and loved golf and fishing when he got the chance.
He leaves his memory behind with his devoted wife of 19 years, Elaine H. Manders, stepdaughter, Dana Phelps, and grandchildren, Colton, Jesse, and Kaitlyn, all of Warner Robins; brothers, Royce Manders (Helen) of Palm Coast, Florida and Randall Manders of Smyrna, Georgia; and a host of adoring nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, April 8th from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Sandy Valley Baptist Church with funeral services immediately following at 2:00 p.m. After the service, Mr. Manders will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
