Robert "Robby" Christopher Crook

Robert “Robby” Christopher Crook, 53, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 29, 2025, and together with his wife, Erika, they joined Christ in Heaven.

Robby was born on October 20, 1971, in Warner Robins, Georgia. A 1990 graduate of Northside High School, he went on to earn a bachelor's degree in communications from Valdosta State University. With his talent and training, Robby contributed to the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, working in video communications. His skills also led him to positions as a graphics technician with WMAZ-TV and Football Friday Night, where his creative touch left a lasting impression.

Robby began his professional career at BellSouth as a commercial accounts associate and later continued his work in the field of technology as a fiber optics technician at AT&T.

In his youth, Robby was an active member of Oakland Baptist Church, where his strong sense of community and faith took root. A devoted husband and father, Robby wholeheartedly supported his wife and children, cheering them on through every adventure and milestone.

In his free time, he enjoyed the outdoors—especially hunting—as well as cooking, gaming, and working with computers. A man of quiet strength and deep dedication, Robby will be remembered for his generous spirit, steady presence, and the love he shared with those closest to him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Robby was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtis C. Speaks, and his grandparents, Charlie F. Crook, Hazel E. Crook, Abrom C. Cook, and Lizzy Cook and joined his wife, Erika, in Heaven, hand in hand.

His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Michael Caleb Crook, Abbie Joy Crook, and Ayla Maddison Crook; father, James F. Crook (Mary); brother, Jeffery P. Crook (Andrea); and stepsister, Jill M. Etheridge, along with many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, April 7, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Robby and his wife, Erika, will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
