Robert Walter "Bobby" Parsons, Sr.

Robert Walter “Bobby” Parsons, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at his residence in Macon, Georgia. He was 77 years old.

Born on January 20, 1945, in Cochran, Georgia, Bobby was the son of the late McKay and Margaret Abney Parsons. After attended high school, he worked in fabrication and shipping at Armstrong World Industries. Bobby enjoyed playing pool, singing karaoke, watching and cheering for the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs. He also loved the ocean and fishing. Most of all, Bobby took great delight in spending time with his family, especially during the holidays.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his sister, Vickie Lee.

His memory will forever be treasured by his adoring wife of 54 years, Barbara J. Parsons; children, Vicki Mainor (Palmer) and Robert W. Parsons, Jr. ( Susan Barker); grandchildren, Dustin Simmons (Brittany), Victor Parsons (Ashley), and Cale Mainor; great-grandchildren, Allie, Nevaeh, Kolton, Alana, Victor Jr.. and Keelyn; brother, James A. Parsons, Sr.; beloved fur baby, Angel; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2022, from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Cathedral of Christ Baptist, 3216 Hartley Bridge Road, Macon 31216. A memorial service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Charles Clance officiating.
