First edition of Roderick Hinkle, Sr., was written on January 19, 1935 – Final edition completed on Friday, August 21, 2015.
Roderick was born in Birmingham, Alabama. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Navy and the Naval Reserve for several years.
His parents, Dwight and Grace Hinkle and siblings, Fred Hinkle, Dwight "Ozzie" Hinkle and Eunice "Buck" Hinkle preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of fifty-four years, Lynda Hinkle; children, Clarke Hinkle (Brent Collins) of Knoxville, Tennessee, Tim Hinkle (Kristi) of Kennesaw and Kelly Bentley (Jody) of Hawkinsville; five grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Hinkle of Tampa, Florida; many nieces and nephews; and loyal companion, his Great Dane, Beau Dawg.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be private.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Roderick Hinkle to the donor's favorite charity.
