In the early morning hours of Thursday, January 11, 2018 Rodger Leduc, Sr., 90, went to be with his Lord and Savior.
Rodger was born on March 21, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Florian and Oliva Tremblay Leduc. He was a graduate of Saint Catherine Catholic School. A proud World War II veteran, Rodger served in the United States Army Air Corp as a co-pilot of B-17s and B-29s. Later, he worked in civil service at Robins Air Force Base in the logistic support group on the presidential jets during President Lyndon B Johnson’s presidency as well as a technical service specialist until his retirement. Rodger earned the rank of Life Scout and served as a Cub and Scout Master from 1968 through 1972. He was a family man who dearly loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents, his wife, Bobbie Leduc, daughter, Maureen K. Leduc, sister, Linda Murphy, and brother, Marcel Leduc, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Sharon M Leduc of Covington, Rodger D. Leduc, Jr. (Glenda) of Roswell, Bethany L. Sutton (Clifford) of Bonaire; grandchildren, Laura Barrett (Christopher) of Roswell, Rachel Levitt (Jason) of Atlanta, Maureen Andre of Covington, Reid Pratt (Elizabeth) of Milledgeville; great-grandchildren, Chandler Shepard, Michaela Andre, Andrew Pratt, Abigail Pratt; great great-granddaughter, Kylee Shepard, and sister, Lorraine McBryde of Rathdrum, Idaho. The family would like to express their appreciation to his caregiver, Jackie Lowe for her loving and compassionate care during his illness.
A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2018 in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside service will immediately follow for family only at Glenn Haven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Rodger D Leduc, Sr. to Sacred Heart Catholic School, 300 S. Davis Drive, Building 100, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
