Al Childers, 63, entered into rest on Sunday, December 7, 2014.
Born on January 14, 1951 in Reynolds, Georgia, Al was a graduate of the Perry High School Class of 1969. Earlier in life Al was involved in farming, but in 1991 he and his wife, Loretta, opened Real Estate Unlimited and since that time they have together enjoyed careers as real estate brokers. In his free time, Al loved riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, and in his younger years he also enjoyed weightlifting and deep sea diving. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Above all else, Al most enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. He will always be remembered as a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Bryan Childers.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 43 years, Loretta Rinehardt Childers; daughters, Terri Childers Chambers and Kristie Childers Warren (Larry) all of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Jordan Chambers, Jesse Chambers, Reagan Warren, and Marli Warren; and his mother, Mildred Cotney Childers.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2014 in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Fort Valley.
