Ronald B. "Ron" Kincaid

July 20, 1947 — December 1, 2016

Ron Kincaid, devoted husband and father, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 1, 2016.

Ron was born on July 20, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio and grew up in Grande Falls, North Carolina. As a young man he joined the United States Army as a Huey Door Gunner. He served our country during the Vietnam War where he received several military awards. Following the war Ron continued his service in the Army National Guard for fourteen years. In 1968 he also began his 39-year career at Robins Air Force Base as a Certified Aircraft Welder.

As an avid NASCAR fan Ron was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of working on a NASCAR pit crew and crossing the wall at the Daytona 500. He was an honorable, well-loved, and caring man who was known for his giving nature.
Family was everything to him, he loved spending time with the family he truly adored.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Dr. James Kincaid; grandson, Dillion Sadler; brother Jeff Kincaid, and nephew, Benny Jones.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 49 years, Johnnie Fay Kincaid; daughter, Shona Kincaid-Yates; adopted son, Sean Banknell, all of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Allison (Tony), Carson, Kaylee, and Peyton Foltz; mother, Mae Kincaid of Warner Robins; nephews and nieces, Jonathan (Collette), Tyler, Chloe, and Kaylee Jones; chosen sister and caregiver, Pat Peck, as well as many other beloved family and friends.

At the family's request all services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Ronald B. "Ron" Kincaid to the Shriner's Children's Hospital, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
