Ronald Milton "Ron" Dean

Ronald "Ron" Dean, 65, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 after a long and courageous battle with Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM).

Ron was born on September 11, 1949 in Macon, Georgia and was a lifelong resident of the Middle Georgia Area. He retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base and proudly served our country in the United States Air Force Reserves. Ron was of the Baptist faith, an avid golfer and huge fan of The University of Georgia Bulldogs football.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Liz Haney Dean of Kathleen; children, Jason Dean (Tanya) of Cochran, Aaron Dean of Kathleen and Renée Bedgood (Alex) of Macon; grandchildren, Anna Claire, Anderson, Justin and Sydney; parents, J.H. and Gladys Atkins Dean of Macon; parents-in-law, Ben and Barbara Haney of Warner Robins; sister-in-law, Teresa King (Todd) of Charleston, South Carolina; and niece and nephew, Kayla and Jordan.

Ron's family would like to give a heartfelt 'thank you' to his devoted caregivers, Dianne Thomas, John Atkins, Kedrum McWhite, and for all the prayers lifted up by friends and family through his illness.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2014 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
