Ron Roberts, 59, entered into rest on Saturday, February 21, 2009 in Tallahassee, Florida.
Mr. Roberts was born on June 4, 1949, in Dublin, Ireland. He was a proud U. S. Navy veteran who participated in the Vietnam Conflict and was employed by the Houston County Water Authority as a superintendent. He was a member of the Tin Can Sailors Association, the Sons of the Confederate Veterans and the Civil War reenactment10th Georgia Volunteer Infantry. His parents, Archie Lee Roberts and Mary Blount Roberts, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of thirty-nine years, Barbara Ann Roberts, Warner Robins; daughters, Cynthia L. Roberts, Tallahassee, Florida; Sherry E. Roberts, Warner Robins; grandchildren, Joshua K. Roberts, Warner Robins and Shelby L. Szilveszter and Travis A. Szilveszter, Tallahassee, Florida.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 26, 2009 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2009, in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Disabled Veterans, P. O. Box 14301, Cincinnati OH 45250-0301 or to the Sons and Daughters of Confederate Veterans.
