Ronald Traino, Sr., 69, entered into rest on Sunday, March 8, 2015.
Ronald was born on May 28, 1945 in Syracuse, New York to the late Carl and Antoinette Paradiso Traino. He joined the United States Marine Corps where he served two tours in Vietnam and was honorably discharged as a disabled Purple Heart recipient. Ronald was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a lifetime member of the Marine Corps League, and of the Military Order of Devil Dogs of the Marine Corps. After his military career, he returned home and became a postal clerk for the Fulton, New York Postal Service. He became well known across New York State for his avid promotion of stamp collecting and First Day Covers. After retiring, he lived for 10 years in Florida. Ronald and his wife Donna recently moved to Warner Robins, Georgia to be closer to their children and grandchildren. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Andrew Traino.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 45 years, Donna Davidson Traino; sons, Ronald J. Traino, Jr., Stephen Carl Traino (Jennilyn), all of Warner Robins, and Thomas Merwin Traino of Florida; and grandchildren, Tristen Traino and Gavin Traino.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
