Rosemary Casey, 87, entered into rest on Friday, December 23, 2022.
Rosemary was born on August 23, 1935, in Eureka, Kansas to the late Irwin and Rose James. Rosemary was a devout Catholic, who cherished her time with Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She also supported Sacred Heart’s school and was a member of the Sacred Heart softball team, where she was lovingly dubbed “Boomer” by her teammates. She volunteered for many service organizations connected to her Parish. An avid crafter and seamstress, Rosemary could be found doing needlepoint, knitting, quilting, or crocheting. She was always willing to help anyone; Known as “Grammie” to all that loved her, Rosemary was a cherished friend, confidant, and prayer warrior. Her 62-year marriage to her husband, Edward, was a testament to their Catholic faith and values, which they instilled in their children.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband, Edward G. Casey; children, Suzi Aler (Earl), Kathy Stuart, Pat Casey (Maryetta), Teri Frier (Jarrett), and Jim Casey (Jessica); grandchildren, Mallory Aler, Sierra Aler, Erin Aler, Ben Aler, Ethan Aler, Casey Stuart (Kalie), Megan Hardison (CT), Mattison Stuart, Garrett Casey (Chrysta), Kylie Casey, Gunnar Casey, Gatlin Casey, Karly Casey, Killian Casey, Gannon Casey, Kadi Casey, Hayden Frier, Dane Frier, Chloe Overman (Joey), and Simon Casey; great-grandchildren, Graycie Stuart, Brody Stuart, Hadley Hardison, Cooper Hardison, Patrick Casey, Giles Casey, and Baby Boy Overman; her nieces and nephews, especially Emily Bowden (Gene), William Bowden (Linda), Patrick Korson (Kirsten), Karen Phillips (Kevin), Mark Palmer, and Gwen Price (Bill).
A Rosary will be Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home with visitation following until 8:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Afterward, Rosemary will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Columbarium.
