Mr. Odom was born in Independence, Louisiana, the son of the late Waldo Odom Sr. and Gladys Narretto Odom. A 40-year resident of Warner Robins, he attended Warner Robins High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. Roy was a truck driver with Lumber Transport and lived in Bleckley County for the past 17 years. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Cary.
Survivors include: his wife, Sherry H. Odom of Cary; two daughters Jessica Folino (Brian) of Phoenix Arizona and JoAnne Quintero (James) of Irving, Texas; six grandchildren; two sisters, Jackie Resinger (Roger) of Centerville and Janet Wilkins (David) of Canton; and brother, Waldo (Pat) Odom Jr. of Crescent, Florida.
A man’s man showed no weakness even at the weakest moment. Hugs were the only thing bigger than his heart.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.
