Roy D. Hinson, Jr., 65, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2003 in a local hospital. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home; interment will be private. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
A lifelong resident of Macon, Mr. Hinson graduated from Lanier High School and Georgia College. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from civil service after 38 years at Robins Air Force Base as an Employee Development and Training Specialist. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy D. Hinson, Sr., and Lois Carver Hinson, and his first wife, Marion Collins Hinson.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen Hinson, Macon; daughter, Gayle Murphy, Warner Robins; son, Richard Collins, Sr., Daytona Beach, FL; brother, Charles W. “Billy” Hinson, Fultondale, AL; sisters, Marsha Sanders and Kay Webb, Macon, and Carol Fish, Warner Robins; two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
